Illinois DOT QC/QA Training

Since 1997, Chicago Testing Laboratory has provided instruction for the IDOT QC/QA certification training held in the Chicago area. As a subconsultant to Lake Land College, CTL provides laboratory instruction for the aggregate and hot-mix asphalt testing courses at its laboratory in Thornton, Illinois. CTL also provides the Illinois Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) with the concrete testing instruction for the ACI Level I Concrete Field Testing Technician course. Thousands of agency, contractor and consultant personnel have been trained by CTL since 1997.

CTL also teaches the Asphalt Mix Design course for Lake Land College. CTL developed the Superpave Mix Design Upgrade course for the Illinois DOT and Lake Land, and incorporated this course into the update of the Asphalt Mix Design course.

CTL is proud to have received two awards during its tenure with Lake Land College. In 1998 Lake Land College, through administering the IDOT QC/QA training program, was the recipient of the Illinois Community College Board Award for Excellence in Workforce Preparation. CTL was pleased to be a part of that team.

CTL also recently earned the Lake Land College Business Partnership Award. CTL is very proud of this award and feel that it further echoes our desire to excel for our clients at every avenue.
